Elevation

The elevation is an olfactory sensory experience inspired by the fragrant heavens; the historical relevance of aromatics as reference in biblical scriptures.

The exhibit features two main components:

1. Historical Exploration of aromatic oils such as Frankincense, Myrrh, Spikenard, Hyssop, Bdellium, and Terenbith, which hold historical significance in biblical contexts.
2. Artistic Adaptation of these aromatics in conceptual scent creations inspired by biblical events, including installations like “Crown of Thorns,” “Passion & The Cross,” “King of Thorns,” “The Awakening,” and “Rebirth.” These installations aimed to evoke emotions,expressing through scent the various stages of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection.
